What is a title sequence/ Analysis of title sequence

Analysis of title sequences

A title sequence shows the audience a film or TV programmes title, key production and cast members whilst using conceptual visuals and sound. It also has to grab the audiences attention.

title sequence normally goes in the order of:
1. Name of studio
2. Name of production company
3. Producer/ directors name
4. Starring
5. Film title
6. Featuring
7. Cast
8. Music/ music composed by
9. Executive producer
10. Based on the book by -From a play/book by

Font used

the font they normally use different font to link to the movie so sometimes they use quirky and different to make the film look more interesting and unique.

normally we would see the font in all sides of the frame sometimes its moving and sometimes it can be on the top, bottom, left side or right side it depends on what the editor chooses.

we normally hear music or dialogue when the font of the opening credits are up. we are normally introduced to characters or get the names of actors who are staring in the film.

This title sequence is a very unique and different because title sequence deceives the viewer
by thinking, that they film has something to do with what is happening in the title sequence. I like how the music and the title sequence tries to make it look like horror film. The title sequence is short and simple. This is because they want people to watch the film and also they want to get straight into the film.

I like the fact that these sequences are really different to normal ones that i watch. They have an unusual way to start and its really interesting. i picked this because i liked the different ways they do the title sequences. This particular title sequence is fascinating because it starts of photographs of people who may be mentioned in the film and it makes you impatient because you want to know what happens in the film. The music is interesting because it is the type of music they use in horrors to scare people but in a discrete way.
