Blog update

On Friday 6th march I completed my final edit and Joseph finished adding the titles. Filming had been quite difficult as was had to go. Away four times to shoot the whole title sequence opening again. This was mainly due to the lack of a strong story , also creatively it was a challenge as I also had to edit and add the skin. Editing for the first time had been a great learning experience  and I have enjoyed every last minute of it. The title sequence in the end made up for the weak storyline as I able to get a wide variety of shots which help create a stronger piece overall.

Task 52

MY VLOG COULDN'T UPLOAD DUE TO THE SIZE, SO I HAVE TYPED UP MY ANSWERS :

  • My blog was successful, because i got mostly all of the tasks done on time and it was at proficient level of knowledge and understanding.
  • My blog shows all the aspects of Research, Planning and Production in a decent amount of information and different uses of ICT.
  • There are some gaps in my blogging work, some tasks were done, but not completed and a few weren't done at all, which is quite disappointing.
  • I done 25 individual tasks on my blog all the other entries are group tasks.
  • If i was given an other opportunity, i would change the storyline for our title sequence. Since it being a youth drama, i would of included a back story to the plot, also add action to it.

Task 43 - Reflection 2

26/02/2015

On the third day of our filming we decided to change our concept of our film and circulate the film around a secretive USB device. On our third day of filming we were able to film a range of shots from various different angles. However it started to rain and decided to follow our safety pre-caustions and decided to stop filming and film the remaining scenes in a house and filmed the scenes that needed re-shooting the following Monday.

Task 34

Task17

Evaluation of success of our practical.

During this one day shoot we filmed our first ever piece which would be edited. The shoot did not need to be as long as it was as it meant less time for editing . However the edit, cinematography and sound went well with eatchother. To improve there couldve been more shots added in order for the title sequence to be more similar to the Breakfast club. For a first attempt I like to think we achieved our target which was to create a remake of the title sequence from the film The Breakfast Club. Next time we will make sure we have more than enough shots to choose from and we will make sure time is equal so we can have enough time to edit and make the piece strong overall.

Task 47- Rough Cut 2

This is our second rough cut and we have recieved feedback from out teacher.

1.To make the piece stronger there should be a soundtrack added.
2.Foley sound should also be added to the piece as it is used as a   sound bridge.
3.There are certain pan shots which need to be deleted as they are shakey.
4.Need to re-do scene in flat as there is a change of outfit which does not make sense.
5.Shots zooming out should be deleted as it jumps.
