Title Analysis Of Youth Drama and High School Drama

Teen drama are usually divided into two categories.

Youth Drama

Focuses on the dilemmas faced by the main character which is often the male character. e.g La Haine. The characters are often rebellious and or in conflict with other characters. Focuses on the difficulties of adolescent experiences.

High school Drama

Became popular in the 1970's,80's and 90's with lots of variations within the sub genre. Often girl is the main focus but male lead might be in focus too. They tend to focus on changes make-overs and or conflict within different groups at school.  For example Grease.
