Sub-Genres
A sub-genre is a sub-category of a specific genre
For example bellow i have chosen two teen films which use sub,genres. I have chosen these two films because they use sub-genres.
Halloween uses teen drama and Horror combined as a sub-genre.
Twilight uses generic codes of a teen drama it also uses supernatural iconography. Therefore, twilight's sub-genre is a teen drama/supernatural. The film shows students in high school in their seniour year battling with vampires and wolves.
